panasonic_lumix_dmc-g1_blue With the G1, Panasonic has developed an entirely new-concept digital camera that takes even greater advantage of the compactness and light weight inherent in the Four Thirds System Standard. By increasing the number of electrical contacts between camera body and lens, Panasonic has also increased camera expandability and maximized the future potential of the G1, including compatibility with future features. In addition, the versatile G1 accepts not only Micro Four Thirds System interchangeable lenses, but also conventional Four Thirds System lenses (when an optional adapter is mounted). This means that users can continue to use Four Thirds lenses they already own.

The G1 is the world’s first camera to employ the new Micro Four Thirds System standard. Together with an innovative mirror-less structure that also dramatically downsizes the camera body, the LUMIX G Micro System achieves a dramatic portability and ease of use by an adoption of electronic Full-time Live View Finder instead of conventional optical viewfinder. Despite the G1′s ultra-compact design, it comes fully equipped with features that assure outstanding ease of use, made possible by the contrast AF system. Read more

nikon_d700 The Nikon D700 is a professional grade full-frame digital single-lens reflex camera introduced by the Nikon Corporation in July 2008. It uses the same 12.1 megapixel “FX” CMOS image sensor as the Nikon D3, and is Nikon’s second full-frame digital SLR camera.

The D700′s full-frame sensor allows the use of non-DX F-mount lenses to their fullest advantage, with no crop factor. (When a DX lens is mounted on the D700, only a DX-sized portion of the camera’s sensor is used.) It bears a physical similarity to the Nikon D300, which uses the same MB-D10 battery pack and EN-EL3e battery.

The Nikon D700 has excellent photo quality as high as ISO 6,400; fast focus and shooting, even in low light; first-rate build quality and control layout. Read more

In addition, the D300 is much more compact than the D3. It offers both high resolution and high speed (being able to capture 6 frames per second, and 8 frames per second with the addition of an optional MB-D10 battery pack).

The Nikon D300 has excellent performance and photo quality; solidly built; extremely flexible custom settings architecture; onboard wireless flash controller. nikon_d3 The Nikon D3 is a 12.1 megapixel professional grade full frame (35mm) digital single lens reflex camera (DSLR) announced by the Nikon Corporation on 23 August 2007 along with the Nikon D300 DX format camera. The D3, along with the Nikon D3x, is the top model in Nikon’s line of DSLRs, superseding the D2Hs and D2Xs.

The D3 features a full frame 35mm equivalent CMOS image sensor measuring 23.9 x 36.0 mm. This sensor is larger than the DX format sensors of all previous Nikon DSLRs, and Nikon has coined the term “FX format” to describe it.

The D3′s sensor has larger pixels and greater light sensitivity than previous DX sensors. This allows the camera to reach higher equivalent film speeds and produce images with less noise in low light situations. Low light situations include times when the camera is operated at high shutter speed or high f number, where the lens’ aperture is reduced to improve depth of field and sharpness. The sensor captures image data at 14 bits per color channel, higher than the bit depth of previous 12-bit sensors. Read more
